ELEVEN MINUTES
BY PAULO COELHO
I would recommend this book to every adult human being. We have the prejudice about every profession. This book 'a marvellous craft' by PAULO COELHO based on the story of "Prostitute". A Brazilian girl went abroad for fame and money but accidently caught in the Prostitute work and story continues...
We often as a society differenciate everything into "Black-white" "Good-bad" "Negative-Positive" but we failed to see everything as Grey i.e. mixed. This story will help you to change your thought about most 'taboo' subject in our society i.e. "SEX". The society is too shy to accept the "sex workers" and on the other hand welocomes the "Rapist". The misogynist attitude kills the basic human rights of female in the society. The understanding of the opposite gender lacks in the society. To fulfil void this, you should read this book holistically.
I will not give more insights about the books but I want to quote a paragraph from this book,
"Does a soldier go to war in order to kill the enemy? No, he
goes in order to die for his country. Does a wife want to show
her husband how happy she is? No, she wants him to see how
devoted she is, how she suffers in order to make him happy.
Does the husband go to work thinking he will find personal
fulfilment there? No, he is giving his sweat and tears for the
good of the family. And so it goes on: sons give up their
dreams to please their parents, parents give up their lives in
order to please their children; pain and suffering are used to
justify the one thing that should bring only love."
